I was walking across campus when I received a business-related call. The person with me, who was going to photograph this week’s look for Work It Wednesdays anyway, took it as a good opportunity to capture a candid.

A few more words:

The last remains of warmer-weather dress before it gets too cold in Pittsburgh. For higher temperatures, I feel that v-necks are the new dress shirts and boaters are the new dress shoe. Together they can fulfill a fresh definition of “business casual (at least for most cases).”

Bonus Look:

“Today I felt like keeping it simple when heading to the Freedom Center to volunteer my PR services. Why not put myself to use while I’m on the job hunt, right?  I’m wearing red heels that I miraculously purchased for $7 with black skinny jeans (although they aren’t jean material). I paired it with my new black top from Express that has a leather panel around the neck and a zipper in the back. I absolutely love wearing black! Around my wrist, I’m wearing a Cartier love bracelet look-alike and a gold bangle with an evil eye charm from Express. My make up is extremely simple with just some powder, cheek/lip stain, and mascara. I am obsessed with the Stainiac cheek/lip stain I received in this months Birchbox. “
